APPENDIX B
OPTION SWITCH SETTINGS
An 8 way switch allows the M265 to be configured for different installation types and languages.
The switch is located on the circuit board, just behind the display. The six retaining screws on the white PCB
cover will have to be removed to allow access to the switch. Use a pen or a small screwdriver to alter the
switches.
The options and switch settings are described below and summarised in fig. B1.
When the unit is despatched all switches apart from S5 are set to the OFF position, ie. default settings are
disabled and printer not connected.
S1 - Spare
S2 - Languages
One of two languages may be selected. (Only English available at present).
All printouts will be in the selected language.
S3 - Default Select
The M265 Controller may be fully programmed or default settings may be set-up using S6, S7 and S8.
S3 ON selects the defaults.
S4, S5 - Interface
The M265 may be connected to either a printer or, with appropriate software, a PC.
Printer Permanently Connected (S4 off, S5 off)
If a printer is to be permanently connected select this option. The printer will be continuously monitored and an
alarm will be generated if it becomes disconnected or switched off. Events, Alarms and Logged data will be
output to the printer as they occur.
