New,! Alkaline!or! Lithium,!‘AA’! batteries!must! be! inserted!with! the! orientation! as! shown! in! the!
compartment.! As! with! most! electronic! devices! the! negative! (! +! )! orien tatio n! of! the! batteries!
should!be! against! the!springs.!!Failure! to! insert!the!batteries!properly! will!cause!damage! to! the!
unit.!

Once! batteries! are! properly!installed! and! with! the! orientation! correct,! simply! slide! the! battery!
compartment!doors!back!into! its !final!locked!position.!!Should!the !battery!doors!not!willingly!slide!
into!it!destination,!remove!them!and!examine!the!area!of!possible!debris! that!may!be! causing!the!
issue.!
