The StellaPro Reflex is a versatile lighting device designed for professional photography and videography, offering both continuous and digital burst lighting modes. It is a compact and portable unit, featuring a light head that connects to a battery handle, or can be powered by an external USB-C PD source.
Function Description
The StellaPro Reflex serves as a powerful and flexible light source for various shooting scenarios. It operates in three distinct modes: Continuous, Digital Burst, and Continuous interrupted by Burst upon triggering.
- Continuous Mode: In this mode, the light provides a steady output, adjustable from 100 to 6000 lumens when powered by the battery handle, or up to 9000 lumens with a 100W USB-C source. This mode is ideal for constant illumination in video or still photography where a continuous light source is preferred. The output can be adjusted via the control dial on the light or remotely if a compatible trigger is used.
- Digital Burst Mode: This mode allows for short, powerful flashes of light. When set to "Pwr" (Power), the burst power can be adjusted, delivering one stop more light than the maximum continuous mode. When set to "Duration," the burst duration can be set from 0.4ms (1/2500 sec) to 6ms (1/160th sec), with a fixed lumen output of 12000 lumens (or 18000 lumens with a 100W USB-C PD source). Digital Burst is particularly useful for freezing fast action, shooting at any shutter speed (including HSS), and maximizing light on the subject.
- Continuous Light that Bursts upon Triggering: This hybrid mode combines continuous light with a burst upon a trigger signal. Users can set a constant light level and then use a trigger to initiate a burst of light. The "Link Mode" further enhances this, allowing the burst power to either match the continuous power (α1) or deliver one stop more light (α2). The α2 setting is useful for anticipating an extra stop of light by underexposing the camera by one stop.
The Reflex light is designed for easy integration into existing setups, featuring various mounting options and compatibility with wireless transmitters.

Maintenance Features
Battery Care:
- First Use: Fully charge the battery for 6 hours before its first use.
- Storage: Unplug the battery from the light when traveling or putting it into storage. Ensure the battery has at least a 30% charge before storage. - Temperature Warning: In full power continuous mode, the battery may become noticeably warm, which is normal. If the temperature exceeds safe levels, an overheat symbol will appear on the OLED display, and operation will pause until the battery cools down.
General Protection:
- LED Protection: Always install a cover or optic over the exposed LED to protect against dust or moisture.
- Warranty: StellaPro products are covered against defects in workmanship and materials under normal use and service for 2 years from the date of purchase. Batteries are covered for 1 year. Register your Reflex device to activate warranty coverage. The warranty is non-transferable and does not cover failures from misuse. Verification of purchase date is required for any claim.
