(3) Disconnect the avionics connector.
(4) Pull the winglet spar completely from out the outer wing spar and remove the winglet from
aircraft.
(5) Repeat steps (1) thru (4) for the other winglet.
B. To de-rig the outer wings, follow these steps:
(1) Prepare the aircraft as follows:
(a) Chock the main wheels fore and aft.
(b) Verify the on-board tools are available and completely.
(c) Make sure the flap control lever in the cockpit is in the “LDG2” position.
(d) Make sure the airbrake control lever is in the forward position but not yet locked.
(2) Remove the outer wing main pin from inner wing using the T-handle tool.
NOTE: To remove the pin it should be easily rotatable. For that it may be advisable to lift
up the outer wing more or to lower it slightly.
(3) Gently pull the outer wing spar from out the inner wing spar until the distance between wing
pieces is 8 - 10 cm.
(4) Remove the safety pins and disconnect the control rods by opening the quick connectors
(red).
(5) Disconnect the avionics connector.
(6) Pull the outer wing spar completely from out the inner wing spar and remove the outer wing
from aircraft.
(7) Do the steps (1) thru (7) for the other outer wing.
C. To de-rig the inner wing, follow these steps:
(1) Prepare the aircraft as follows:
(a) Chock the main wheels fore and aft.
(b) Verify the on-board tools are available and completely.
NOTE: Ensure the ignition key is removed from the aircraft and the main switch is
turned off.
(c) Rotate the propeller into the Y-position.
(d) Remove the side cowlings 200CL and 200DR (ref. 06-30-00).
(e) Remove the screws securing the access plate in the cockpit back wall and remove it.
(2) Remove the safety pins (3 places) from all rod quick connectors.
(3) Disconnect the control rods (3 places) by means of the quick connectors (red).
(4) Disconnect the pneumatic hoses at the left main frame by means of the quick release
couplings.
(5) Disconnect the avionic connector.
(6) Disconnect the fuel line quick connectors of the fuel supply and fuel return line.
(7) Remove from all wing main pins the safety pins (4 places).
(8) First remove the both forward wing pins using the on-board rigging tool.
(9) Close canopy.
(10) Then, remove the rear wing pins. If required assist the process with a suitable tool.
(11) Gently remove the inner wing upwards from fuselage.
WARNING: RAISE THE WING LEADING EDGE ONLY SLIGHTLY AND GENTLY.
OTHERWISE THE REAR WING ATTACHMENT BRACKETS MAY BE
DAMAGED. THE BRACKETS ARE GLUED INTO THE REAR WING
STRUCTURE.
NOTE: First raise the wing leading edge partly to disengage the forward wing brackets.
Then, disengage the rear wing brackets from the fuselage frame.
CAUTION: WHILE REMOVING THE WING, DO NOT DAMAGE THE CANOPY GLASS
BY DANGLING FUEL LINES OR BY THE WING BRACKETS.
(12) Carry the wing over the cockpit and the propeller away from the aircraft.
5. Wing Rigging Procedure
WARNING: WING RIGGING MUST BE ACCOMPLISHED BY AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL
ONLY.
CAUTION: ENSURE SUFFICIENT PERSONNEL IS AVAILABLE TO ASSIST.
A. To rig the inner wing, follow these steps:
(1) Prepare the aircraft as follows:
(a) Chock the main wheels fore and aft.
(b) Verify the on-board tools are available and completely.
(c) Make sure the 4 wing main pins are available, checked for condition and greased as
required.
NOTE: Ensure the ignition key is removed from the aircraft and the main switch is
turned off.
(d) Rotate the propeller into the Y-position.
(e) At the fuselage side, loose all control rod quick connectors.
(f) Remove the side cowlings 200CL and 200DR (ref. 06-30-00).
(2) Position the inner wing onto the fuselage frame.
(a) Carry the wing over the propeller and the cockpit towards the area above the mounting
place.
CAUTION: WHILE LOWERING THE WING INTO ITS MOUNTING POSITION,
PREVENT EQUIPMENT SUCH AS FUEL LINES, PNEUMATIC LINES,
ELECTRICAL HARNESSES ETC. FROM JAMMING OR BRUISING.
(b) Carefully lower the wing into its correct mounting position.
NOTE: With the trailing edge slightly tilted, first engage the rear wing brackets
into the fuselage frame and then lower the forward wing brackets into their
places.
(3) Install and secure the wing pins.
(a) First install rear wing pins. Insert them in flight direction. If required assist the process
with a suitable tool.
