1. Ensure the aircraft to be fixed and secured to a
crane or jacked for any inspections on retractable
landing gear and hydraulic actuation.
1. Inspect the main gear legs and trailing arms for
deformation and possible cracks as a result of an
excessive load.
2. Check condition of main gear tires and creep
markings. Check tire pressure: 3.5 ± 0.1 bar / 51.0
± 1.5 p.s.i.
3. Check function of rocking arm spring damping
system.
4. Check wheel bearings for freedom of movement
and excessive play.
5. Check brake master cylinder and wheel brake
cylinders incl. hoses and lines.
6. Check brake discs and brake linings
(at least 1,5 mm / 0.06 in.).
7. Check quantity of brake fluid.
8. Renew brake fluid (DOT 4) if indicated.
9. Check drag struts condition, locking mechanics,
attachments, hinges and final postion micro
switches for damage, deformation and dirt.
10. Check hydraulic actuators for damage,
deformation, leakage and dirt.
11. Check main landing gear deflector if clean and free-
moving, also at rail (steel frame side).
12. Check all final position micro switches for damage
and dirt.
