How to fix Stiga Engine that is hard to start?
- FFrancisco MarshAug 4, 2025
If your Stiga Engine is hard to start, there could be several reasons. First, check if there is fuel in the tank and top it up if necessary. Old fuel or deposits in the fuel tank can also cause this issue, so empty the tank and add fresh fuel. Make sure you are using the correct starting procedure. Ensure the spark plug caps are securely fitted. Check the spark plugs for wetness, dirt, or incorrect gap. A clogged air filter can also be the culprit, so inspect and clean it. Finally, ensure you are using the correct oil for the season; replace it if needed. If it is hot you may need to wait a few minutes then try starting it up again.
