17 Troubleshooting
17.2 Troubleshooting Charger
Normal battery life has
been exceeded.
► Replace the battery.
Battery jams when
being inserted in
battery compartment.
Guides or contacts in
battery compartment dirty.
► Clean guides or contacts in battery compartment.
Charge process does
not start when
battery is inserted in
the charger.
1 LED glows red. Battery too hot or too cold. ► Leave battery in the charger.
Charge process starts automatically as soon as
permissible temperature range is reached.
Condition LEDs on Battery Cause Remedy
Condition LED on Charger Cause Remedy
Battery not being
charged.
LED flashes red. No electrical contact
between charger and
battery.
► Remove the battery.
► Clean contacts on charger.
► Fit the battery.
Malfunction in charger. ► Do not use the charger and contact your STIHL
servicing dealer.
