Check grease level about every 50
operating hours:
•
Unscrew the filler plug  - if there
is no grease on the inside of the
filler plug:
•
Apply tube  of STIHL gear
lubricant 0781 120 1117 to filler
hole.
•
Squeeze grease into the gear
housing - about 20 g (3/4 oz).

Refit filler plug and tighten it down
firmly.

The rope rotor rewind spring may pop
out and unwind during the following
operation.
To reduce the risk of injury, wear eye
and face protection.
•
Remove the screws .
•
Lift away the fan housing.
•
Remove the spring clip .
•
Carefully pull off the rope rotor
with washer  and pawl .
