: Take out the screw (arrow).
: Remove the cover plate (1) and
adjusting wheel (2).
When installing the adjusting wheel,
make sure its teeth face the cover
plate.
– Reassemble in the reverse
sequence.
5.8 Bar Mounting Studs
: Push stud puller
5910 893 0501 (1) over the collar
studs (2) as far as it will go and
unscrew the studs
counterclockwise.
– Coat the collar studs with
threadlocking adhesive, fit and
tighten down firmly, b 14

tensioner
– Remove the side plate, b 5.2
: Push stud puller (1)
5910 893 0501 over the collar
stud as far as it will go and
unscrew the stud (2)
counterclockwise.
– Coat the collar stud with
threadlocking adhesive, fit and
tighten down firmly, b

– Reassemble all other parts in the
reverse sequence.

Repair solution
If the thread in the engine housing is
badly damaged or stripped it will not
be possible to tighten the standard
collar stud to the specified torque –
the security of the collar stud is no
longer guaranteed.
Collar stud 0000 664 2411 may be
used to rectify such a problem.
– Remove the standard collar stud
– do not re-drill the hole.
: Coat the thread (1) of the collar
stud 0000 664 2411 with
threadlocking adhesive, b
14
– Fit the collar stud 0000 664 2411
by hand so that it engages the
existing thread.
– Fit collar stud and tighten it down
firmly.
– Reassemble all other parts in the
reverse sequence.
