N Take out the screw (2).
N Line up the tensioning gear (1) and
guide bar (3).
N Insert the screw (2) and tighten it
down firmly.
Disengage the chain brake.
N Pull the hand guard towards the
front handle until there is an audible
click – the chain brake is
disengaged.
Fitting the chain
WARNING
Wear work gloves to protect your hands
from the sharp cutters.
N Fit the chain – start at the bar nose.
Pay attention to the position of the
tensioning gear and the cutting
edges.
N Turn the tensioning gear (1)
clockwise as far as stop.
N Turn the guide bar so that the
tensioning gear is facing you.
N Fit the chain over the sprocket (2).
N Push the guide bar over the bar
stud (3), the head of the rear bar
stud must engage the slot.
