CAUTION:
Never look or reach into the attach-
ment! Danger of injury!
You can attach the handle on the right or left by
choosing the appropriate screw position. The sealing
brush height is easily adjustable by loosening the
outer screws. For at surfaces you should push the
sealing brushes in up to the mechanical stop. In case
of rougher surfaces, you should move the sealing
brushes out depending on how uneven the surface is
to prevent water from escaping out of the attachment,
and to allow for easy and owing movements of the
cleaning attachment on the surface you are cleaning.
You will normally move the cleaning attachment in
vertical sweeps, although you can easily move the
attachment laterally as needed.
Make sure that the inside of the cleaning attachment
is free of soiling that could prevent the rotating nozzles
from turning. Before starting work, check that water
is exiting both nozzles on the rotating head, and that
the water pressure is turning the head in the cleaning
attachment (never switch on the high pressure cleaner
to do this).
CAUTION:
Never look into the cleaning attach-
ment from the side, never look directly
into the rotating nozzle while pressing
the hand valve!
If water is not exiting the nozzles smoothly, you must
clean the nozzles. To do so, use an SW 8 wrench to
remove the two nozzles from the supporting arms, and
carefully clean the inner bores. Press the hand valve to
ush out any particles cloggin the supporting frame.
Then ret the nozzles and tighten using a wrench.
Remove any soiling that has built up on the roller
bearings if the roller bearings do not turn easily.
Note:
Regular cleaning, maintenance and servicing after
completing work will help avoid downtime!
Suction hose:
The max. suction hose length must not exceed 30
m. Do not use a longer hose than necessary. Make
sure that the hose is always laid out straight without
"sag" or kinks.
When you nish work, ush the hose thoroughly to
prevent clogging.
When working on scaffolding, we recommend using
hanging the hose on the scaffolding with hose clamps
(Art. No. 64 24 25) for strain relief.
Suction unit with immersion pump:
The suction basket is equipped with a vacuum ow
interrupter which interrupts the ow if an excessive
amount of soiling has built up in the lter basket,
preventing water exiting the lter basket so that
the water level in the lter basket has reached the
max. level.
CAUTION:
Stop work immediately: switch off the
machine and clean the lter basket.
To empty the lter, release the 3 tension locks on the
barrel and place the top section on the ground next
to the barrel. You can now pull out the supporting
cage. Clean the reusable lter, ush the lter, and
reassemble in reverse order. When replacing the
supporting cage, make sure the sealing ring is clean
and seals properly! If the lter basket lls up after a
short time, it is a good idea to brush the surface you
are cleaning rst, and in case of stripping work to use
a scraper to scrape off the aky coating rst and / to
use a coarser replacable lter. Besides the standard
400 replacable lter, we also offer replacable
lters with coarser meshing.
To empty residual water from the barrel, you can tip
the machine. Before doing so, apply the brakes on the
two front castors on the trolley to prevent the trolley
rolling away.
The immersion pump is switched on and off automa-
tically by a oater switch.
There is no need to check the ll level, or to interrupt
your to empty the tank. However, you must plug the
pump into the socket on the suction basket to provide
power to the pump.
On initial commissioning, or after a longer period of
disuse (weeks/months), a bubble of air may form in
the immersion pump preventing water owing into the
pump chamber. In this case, make sure the pump is
fully immersed in water. Plug the mains plug on your
TORCH High Pressure Water Recovery System into
an earthed socket and plug the pump on the pump
into the socket on the suction basket. The pump will
start running. Now press the oater switch down with
your hand (the pump will switch off); hold the oater
down for a short time and then release it (the pump
will switch back on). Repeat this until the pump starts
to deliver water.
