6 Application
6.1 Functional test
The product is compression-driven. Before each use, the system must be checked for leakage
in its fully assembled state.
1. Immerse the assembled system in a container with sterile liquid.
2. Operate the footswitch in multiple pulse mode.
ð The system is activated.
ð No air bubbles must exit from the instrument channel on the distal side.
If air can escape from the instrument channel, the system must not be used. Air
insufflation can lead to safety problems.
6.2 Using the product
WARNING
No visual contact! Risk of injury!
Using the product outside the field of vision can cause injury to tissue and damage to
accessories.
Only activate the product under visual contact.
1. Consult the CALCUSPLIT instructions for use.
2. Only use medical compressed air.
