Operations Model 6DS-SP Planarizer
3 - 32 Version 4.0 - February 1998
DUAL TIME AND DUAL BACKPRESSURE ENTRY CHOICES:
This feature eliminates the need for "double entry" of left and right time or left
and right backpressure parameters if there is no need for them to be different.
Polish Time Entry and Backpressure Entry choices are available in the
Machine Parameters Menu. The choices are Left/Right or Matched.
If the Left/Right choice is used, left and right parameter values can be entered
separately.
If the Matched choice is used, a value entered into either the left or right
parameter will also be entered into the other. Also, a small bracket line to the
left of the parameters will appear on both the Auto Polish Menu and the Polish
Parameters Menu to indicate that new entries will be linked.
Note: Changing from Left/Right to Matched will not change any
previously entered values.
MENU “HOPPING”:
Menu "hopping" (menu changing) is permitted while the machine is operating.
While all menus are always accessible, some function key choices may be
"ghosted" if the choices would conflict with the current machine operation.
(There is no longer any "Main Menu".)
Menu "hopping" permits viewing setups, viewing diagnostics, and making
some "on the fly" changes concurrent with machine operation.
“ON THE FLY” CHANGES:
Numerous recipe parameter changes may be made while the machine is
operating.
For example, past, present, or future polishing steps can be changed. If the
current step's time is changed to a longer time than what has transpired, the
remaining time showing will increase by the same amount as the increase. If
the current step's time is shorter than what has transpired, the step will end.
Many conditioning and machine parameters may be changed. However,
changes that could cause trouble, such as changing the number of spindles
used, will be ignored until the start of the next cycle.
Finally, all polish alarm parameters can be changed in the Alarms Menu.
