Current Password Level Shown at All Times:
The current password level, 'Oper', 'Engr', or 'Maint', is now shown at the far right of the
menu title bar of every menu.
'Oper', which provides the most security, is "quietly" shown using the yellow title bar
background.
'Engr' and 'Maint', which provide less security, are "loudly" shown using the red warning
background. This warning is meant to encourage setting the password level back to the
higher security 'Oper' level when engineering or maintenance tasks are finished.
Elimination of Two Nuisance Errors:
If a 6DS-SP has the RTZ robot and software version 4.14 or earlier, two "nuisance" errors
were occasionally seen on some machines. These harmless errors were displayed and
logged even though the machine was working normally. Both nuisance errors are related
to the start of an automatic cycle.
The errors were:
"ROBOT TOP/BOTTOM NOT AT ZERO"
This error could occur even though the robot was in a reasonable position.
Also, the error text has been changed to 'ROBOT ARM NOT AT ZERO" for a
clearer meaning. (The original error message was sometimes incorrectly
associated with the robot Z axis.)
"WAFER FOUND ON ROBOT"
This error could occur during wafer presence testing due to a short vacuum
buildup "spike" due to water normally in the robot end effecter line. If this
"spike" was large enough, it was falsely interpreted as a wafer present.
Control software changes have been made so these nuisance errors should no longer
occur.
