Strasbaugh Operator Functions
Version 4.0 - February 1998 3 - 77
CYCLE HALTING FUNCTIONS AND
ASSOCIATED PROCEDURES
This section details the results of interrupting machine function by pressing
the CYCLE HALT button; selecting “Abort/Resetat any menu) to abort an
auto polish cycle or other machine motion; selecting Finish Cycleat the
Auto Polish Cycle Menu; opening doors; and pressing the EMERG OFF
button.
Notes:
Opening a service door at any time shuts power down to the entire machine,
including the control computer.
Opening a polish area operator door during an auto polish cycle interrupts
and suspends the cycle. If a front (polish area) operator door is opened
during an auto cycle, all machine functions, including bridge operation, will
be suspended. The cycle will resume when the door is again closed.
Opening an elevator area operator door during an auto polish cycle does
not interrupt polishing, but it does suspend elevator movement and robot
movement in the elevator area.
The auto cycle will resume after a halt regardless of the point in the cycle at
which the halt occurred.
