CONTROL PANEL AND EMERGENCY
OFF BUTTONS
CONTROL PANEL
For 6DS-SP planarizers serial number 181 and later (12/13/96) the control panel
is incorporated in an operator interface unit consisting of a flat panel display,
vertically mounted keypad, horizontally mounted standard keyboard, and control
panel. The unit, supported by a movable arm, may be located at either the front
or left side of the machine cabinet. Options available include dual front and side
interfaces and a mobile remote interface.
Figure 3-6, below, shows the layout of the panel components. A description of
each component follows the figure.

MACHINE ON

Machine On
The green MACHINE ON pushbutton and white MACHINE ON lamp are
located at the left side of the control panel. Pressing the MACHINE ON
pushbutton turns the machine on-- provided all service doors are in place and the
main power supply circuit breaker is on. The control panel’s white MACHINE
ON lamp and the Rear Door Power On Lamp (located at the rear of the machine)
will indicate if supply power is on. Pressing the MACHINE ON pushbutton
completes the path to power the machine's controllers and subassemblies.
