Maintenance Model 6DS-SP Planarizer
3 - 16 Version 4.0 - February 1998
Cycle Start
The black CYCLE START pushbutton starts machine operations from the
Machine Operations/Shutdown Menus selections, as described in the Operator
Functions chapter of the 6DS-SP Operations manual.
Cycle Halt
The black CYCLE HALT pushbutton halts the selected cycle before its
completion, suspending machine action. Press the CYCLE START pushbutton
to continue the cycle.
Emergency Off
The red EMERGENCY OFF pushbutton is one of several emergency off
buttons placed on the machine; when pressed it instantly stops all machine
motion and turns off power to all subassemblies and controllers.
After pressing an EMERGENCY OFF button, the operator restarts the machine
from the beginning by pressing the MACHINE ON pushbutton. To restart after
correcting the problem requiring the emergency off, close all machine doors, and
follow the procedures in the Operator Functions chapter of the 6DS-SP
Operations manual for powering up the machine, homing, and running an auto
cycle.
Audible Alarm
The AUDIBLE ALARM is mounted on the left side of the operator interface
unit, adjacent to the control panel. It sounds whenever a machine parameter
exceeds a programmed range of values during polishing. It may also indicate
other trouble (such as a plugged drain pan). The alarm accompanies the error
message displayed on the monitor. Alarm parameters are discussed in detail in
the Machine Setup chapter of the 6DS-SP Operations manual.
