d. Insert a pan head screw into the hole.
e. Using the power screwdriver, tighten the pan head screw to
approximately 15 inch-pounds of torque.
f. Move to the counterbored hole located 180 _ from (opposite) the
one in which you just installed a pan head screw.
g. Repeat Steps d., e., and f., immediately above, until all eight screws
have been installed.
h. Rotate the assembly to position it mounting plate down.
I. INSTALL CARRIER TOP PLATE
1. Remove the two pivoting retainers.
2. Remove the locking block.
3. Hold the carrier top plate concave side down over the carrier assembly
and oriented such that the swivel elbow of the top plate is at 6 o’clock.
4. Install the open end of the top plate’s 1/4-in. tubing on the barb of the
manifold plate elbow.
5. Place the top plate concave side down on the carrier assembly.
6. Align the two top plate shoulder screws at 3 o’clock and
9 o’clock.
7. Check to see if the carrier is fitted with a target.
a. If the carrier is not fitted with a target skip to Step 8., below.
b. If the carrier is fitted with a target, rotate the top plate 90 ° to align
the hole in the top plate with the target.
c. Go on to Step 8., immediately below.
8. Align the four 8-32 holes in the top plate with the corresponding holes
in the carrier unit.
9. Install the appropriate bit on the power screwdriver.
