Close All Access Doors
Turn Machine Power On, Perform Home Sequence Routine, and Place Carriers On
Spindles
Follow the procedures detailed in the Operator Functions chapter of the 6DS-SP
Operations manual.
B. CHECK CURRENT CALIBRATION
1. At Page 1 of the Manual Control Menu, select Robot Move and choose
Left Send to move the robot out of the way.
2. Select Bridge Move and choose Load to move the bridge to load
position.
3. Select Shuttle Move and choose Rear to move the shuttle assembly to its
rear position.
4. At Page 2 of the Manual Control Menu, select Left Spindle Up/Down
and choose Down to lower the left spindle.
(right spindle = “Right Spindle Up/Down”)
5. Open the Left Side Operator Door.
6. Check the centering of the carrier inside the uppermost lip of the ring
by measuring the gap between the carrier and the ring lip in four places
around the carrier.
GOAL FOR “ALL
ALUMINUM” RINGS:
No gap smaller than .03 in.
GOAL FOR “WHITE
POLYPROPYLENE” RINGS:
No gap smaller than .09 in.
a. If the four measurements meet the goal, skip to Step 6. of section C,
below.
b. If any of the four measurements does not meet the goal, perform the
alignment procedures, beginning with Step 1., immediately below.
