16. Using a 1 1/8-in. open end wrench, rotate the left jam nut
counterclockwise to loosen.
Back the jam nut off .25 in. (1/4 in.).
17. By hand, rotate the shock absorber clockwise or counterclockwise as
needed to move it in the required direction to correct the previously
measured horizontal gap (See Step 11. of Section B., Check Current
Calibration, above).
Increase/decrease the distance between the stopping collar and the shock
absorber mounting block by the previously measured horizontal gap.
18. Re-measure to check for the correct distance between the stopping collar
and the shock absorber.
19. Retighten the jam nut--very tight.
20. Close the Left Side Operator Door.
21. Rotate the Compressed Air Supply valve 1/4 turn counterclockwise to
turn the compressed air supply ON.
22. At Page 1 of the Manual Control Menu, select Bridge Move and choose
Load to move the bridge to load position.
23. At Page 2 of the Manual Control Menu select Right Spindle Up/Down
and choose Down to lower the right spindle.
24. Open the Left Side Operator Door.
25. Re-measure the horizontal gaps between the right carrier and cleaning
ring at front and rear.
a. If either gap is not equal to .0625 in. (1/16 in.), repeat the
adjustment.
b. When the measurements are satisfactory, go on to the Shuttle Rear
Reed Switch Adjustment, immediately below.
