Turn Machine Power On and Perform Home Sequence Routine
Follow the procedures detailed in the Operator Functions chapter of the 6DS-SP
Operations manual.
Remove Carriers from Spindles
Follow the procedures detailed in the Operator Functions chapter of the 6DS-SP
Operations manual.
Move Bridge to Polish Position
At Page 1 of the Manual Control Menu select Bridge Move and choose Pol tbl 1
to move the bridge to its polish position.
Clean Bottom of Vacuum Chuck
Using a soft cloth and mild solvent, clean the bottom surface of the vacuum
chuck.
B. CHECK CURRENT CALIBRATION
1. At Page 1 of the Manual Control Menu, select Right Spindle Up/Down
and choose Down to lower the right spindle.
2. Open the polish area operator doors.
3. Place the magnetic base of the dial indicator on the table.
4. Adjust the indicator stylus such that it registers off the bottom surface of
the vacuum chuck 1/8 in. from the edge of the outer diameter of the
vacuum chuck.
5. Close the operator doors.
6. Select Right Spindle Speed and enter 2 to rotate the spindle at
approximately 2 RPM.
