LEFT SPINDLE DOWN LIMIT SWITCH
B. CHECK CURRENT CALIBRATION
1. Place carriers on spindles.
2. At Page 1 of the Manual Control Menu select Bridge Move and choose
Pol tbl 1 to move the bridge to its polish position.
3. At Page 2 of the Manual Control Menu, select Left Spindle Up/Down
and choose Down to lower the left spindle.
4. At the Diagnostics Menu screen, read the left spindle down limit switch
status (Input 2):
GOAL: Input 2 should be ON when the left spindle is in its down
position.
a. If the input is on, skip to the Right Spindle Down Limit Switch,
below.
b. If the input is not on, correct it by following the adjustment
procedure in Section C., immediately below.
C. ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE
1. Remove the left and right side stainless steel bridge covers:
a. Using a ladder to reach the top of the machine, locate the two
latches of the left side cover, one at each side.
b. For each latch, push in, lift up, and rotate as needed to release.
c. Lift off and set aside.
d. Repeat for the right side cover.
Note: For removal of the front and rear bridge covers, use a 5/64-in.
hex key to remove the 6-32 button head screws securing each
cover.
2. Find the lower limit switch and switch actuator for the left spindle,
located at the front of the upper bridge and nearest the left spindle.
