Operations Model 6DS-SP Planarizer
2 - 8 Version 4.0 - February 1998
The Right Top Emergency Off Button (3) is an emergency off switch, used
for instantly stopping all machine motion and turning off control power at
any time.
The Control Panel (1) and Monitor and Keyboard (2), are described in
detail later in this chapter.
The Left Side Polish Section Door (4) and the Right Side Polish Section
Door (5) are fitted with switches to sense whether the doors are fully closed.
An optional second monitor, keyboard, and control panel, provided with the
fixed or remote terminal option, may be mounted at the left side of the
machine above the elevators or on a mobile cart.
The polish section operator doors must be closed in order for the
machine to respond when the CYCLE START pushbutton is depressed
during an auto polish cycle or slurry system flush.
The elevator access doors must be closed to permit elevator and robot
movements. If not, an automatic cycle may pause until the door is
closed.
To open either polish section operator door requires pulling the latch
assembly toward the operator and then pushing the door aside in its slider
track. The Left Operator Door is latched closed by an air cylinder whenever
the shuttle or second table assembly is in motion.
