MENUS USED IN MECHANICAL
ADJUSTMENTS AND
SOFTWARE CALIBRATION
PROCEDURES
The section below provides details on the three menus (Manual Control,
Diagnostics, and Calibration/Configuration) used in machine maintenance and
calibration.
For information on the 6DS-SP user interface and menus used in basic machine
operation through version 4.25 of the software, refer to the Operator Functions
chapter of the 6DS-SP Operations manual. For post-4.25 software versions,
refer to the 6DS-SP User Interface Reference located in Appendix A of the 6DS-
SP Maintenance manual.
Refer to the Machine Setup chapter of the 6DS-SP Operations manual for details
on the parameters menus used in machine setup.
SOFTWARE FEATURES
EASY SERVO CALIBRATION:
The Manual Control, Calibration/Configuration, and Diagnostics Menus work
together as a special group. If a user makes either Manual Control or Diagnostic
menu changes, those changes will be maintained so long as the user remains
within the three menu group. This permits easy servo calibration as shown in the
example below.
To calibrate relationships between the robot arm and an elevator:
1. Select the Manual Menu.
2. Move the elevator to a desired slot.
3. Move the robot to the elevator position.
4. Move the arms into the elevator.
5. Change to the Calibration/Configuration Menu.
