Install Polishing Pad on Table and Carriers on Spindles
Follow the procedures detailed in the Operator Functions chapter of the 6DS-SP
Operations manual.
Move Bridge to Polish Position
At Page 1 of the Manual Control Menu, select Bridge Move and choose Pol Tbl
1 to move the bridge to polish position.
Lower the Left and Right Spindles
1. At Page 2 of the Manual Control Menu, select Left Spindle Up/Down
and choose Down to lower the left spindle.
2. Select Right Spindle Up/Down and choose Down to lower the right
spindle.
B. CHECK CURRENT CALIBRATION
1. Open the Polish Area Right Side Operator Door.
2. Measure and record:
a. Measure the distance between the left edge of the left carrier and
the left edge of the table. Record left side measurement.
Example: 2.5 in.
b. Measure the distance between the right edge of the right carrier and
the right edge of the table. Record right side measurement.
Example: 1.0 in.
