Strasbaugh Machine Description
Version 4.0 - February 1998 2 - 17
The MACHINE ON lamp, to the left of the pushbutton, will indicate
machine power-up was successful and the machine power is on.
The CYCLE START pushbutton starts machine operations from the
Machine Operations/Shutdown Menus selections, as described in the
Operator Functions chapter of the 6DS-SP Operations manual.
The CYCLE HALT pushbutton halts the selected cycle before its
completion, suspending machine action. Press the CYCLE START
pushbutton to continue the cycle.
The EMERG OFF pushbutton is an emergency off button; when pressed it
instantly stops all machine motion and turns off power to all subassemblies
and controllers.
After pressing an EMERG OFF button, the operator restarts the machine
from the beginning by pressing the MACHINE ON pushbutton.
To restart after correcting the problem requiring the emergency off, close the
service door, and follow the procedures in the Operator Functions chapter of
the 6DS-SP Operations manual for powering up the machine, homing, and
running an auto cycle.
The AUDIBLE ALARM is located on the control panel at the bottom row
and left of the EMERG OFF pushbutton. It sounds whenever a machine
parameter exceeds a programmed range of values during polishing. It may
also indicate other trouble (such as a plugged drain pan). The alarm
accompanies the error message displayed on the monitor. Alarm parameters
are discussed in detail in the Machine Setup chapter of the 6DS-SP
Operations manual.
