Maintenance Model 6DS-SP Planarizer
10 - 74 Version 4.0 - February 1998
ROBOT
Version 4.0 of the 6DS-SP Operations and Maintenance manuals addresses the
“RTZ” robot which has replaced the pre-3/95 "two arm" robot. The letters
"RTZ" represent the three axes of motion called "Radial", "Theta", and "Z".
However, 6DS-SP displays and user documentation will use the terms "arm",
"rotate" and "up/down" respectively.
For robot calibration, be sure to follow the Elevators and Robot - Order of
Adjustment, located at the beginning of the Elevators section, above in this
chapter.
For calibration of a two arm robot when Software Version 4.00 or later is
installed on your machine, follow the procedures found in Version 2.0 of the
6DS-SP Maintenance manual, substituting the detailed keystroke instructions
(which match pre-4.00 software) found there with post-4.00 software commands.
Note that although the user interface has changed, the tasks and goals are
essentially the same. Refer to the 6DS-SP User Interface Reference in Appendix
A of the 6DS-SP Maintenance manual or Version 4.0 of the 6DS-SP Operations
and Maintenance manuals for detailed information on using the 4.00 software
interface. For extended descriptions of 6DS-SP calibration variables, refer to the
Calibration Variables List found in Appendix A of Version 4.0 the 6DS-SP
Maintenance manual.
