Strasbaugh Software Calibration Procedures
Version 4.0 - February 1998 10 - 119
2. Open the Right Side Operator Door.
3. Place a 2000 ML graduated beaker under the slurry tube.
Close the door.
4. Time the flow:
Begin timing as the flow hits the bottom of the beaker.
a. Time the period it takes to fill the beaker to 1800 ML.
Flow Amount = 1800 ML
b. Record the Flow Rate.
Example: 3 min. 45 sec. (3.75 min.)
5. Calculate the actual flow:
ACTUAL FLOW = Flow Amount / Flow Rate
Example:
ACTUAL FLOW = 1800 ÷ 3.75
ACTUAL FLOW = 480 ML/MIN
GOAL: ACTUAL FLOW = Programmed Flow Rate test value.
If the ACTUAL FLOW is not equal to the Programmed Flow Rate test
value, adjust the calibration as shown in the Adjustment Procedure
section below.
If the ACTUAL FLOW is equal to the programmed flow rate test value,
go on to the When Satisfactory Adjustment Is Achieved section (below).
In our example, our programmed flow rate is 600 ML/MIN and our
ACTUAL VALUE is 480 ML/MIN, therefore we must adjust the
calibration.
