11. Push both spindles down harder:
a. Enter a value of 2000 for counter 12.
b. Enter a value of 2000 for counter 13.
B. CALIBRATE THE E - P REGULATORS ONE AT A TIME
Note: Calibrate the left and repeat the procedure to calibrate the right.
1. At the Diagnostics Menu, select Change Counter and enter 55 to choose
Left Backpressure Control.
(Counter 56 = Right Backpressure Control.)
2. Enter a value of 0 for counter 55, producing minimum psi.
3. Locate the Fairchild E-P regulator, mounted at the right rear of the
machine (as you are facing the rear of the machine) in the lower right
corner of the electrical box.
Note: Refer to engineering drawing # 217946EM, in the Appendices of
the 6DS-SP Maintenance manual.
4. Find and disconnect tube # 80:
(# 86 = right)
a. Locate the tube extending from the regulator labeled # 80.
b. Depress the fitting and detach tube # 80 from the regulator.
5. Insert the 60-LB pressure gauge and T fitting between the regulator and tube
# 80.
6. At the Diagnostics Menu, select Change Counter and enter a value of 171
for counter 55 (corresponding to
5 psi).
7. Use the zero adjustment at the regulator to set 5 psi:
GOAL: The zero should be adjusted such that the gauge reads within +/-
1 pound of 5 pounds (psi).
• Using a small screwdriver, rotate the zero adjustment as needed to meet
the goal.
