8. At the Diagnostics Menu, select Change Counter and enter a value of
2048 for counter 55 (corresponding to 60 psi).
9. Set the span adjustment at the regulator:
GOAL: The span should be adjusted such that the gauge reads
within +/- 1 pound of 60 pounds (psi).
• Using a small screwdriver, rotate the span adjustment as needed to
meet the goal.
10. Repeat Steps 6. through 9. until the readings at the gauge for both zero
and span meet the goals.
11. At the Diagnostics Menu, select Change Counter and enter a value of 0
for counter 55 (producing minimum psi).
(Right backpressure control = counter 56.)
12. Remove the gauge.
13. Reconnect tube # 80 to the regulator.
14. Make sure the left vacuum regulator’s manual control is fully out
(disengaged):
a. Locate the regulator, mounted on the valve panel at the lower left
front of the machine.
The manual control should turn freely, assuring that the vacuum
regulator is entirely controlled by the E-P regulator.
b. Lock the jam nut on the regulator.
15. Repeat Steps 1. through 14. in this section, substituting right for left
spindle as shown in the text above.
16. When both left and right spindle have been adjusted, go on to Section
C., immediately below.
