Turn Machine Power On
Follow the procedures detailed in the Operator Functions chapter of the 6DS-SP
Operations manual.
LEFT SPINDLE CURRENT OFFSET
A. CHECK PRESENT CALIBRATION
1. At the Calibration/Configuration Menu, select Page Down to display
variable 36, Left spindle current offset.
Example: 1.0
2. Read and record the value of the Left Spindle Load display in the
screen status area:
SPNDL left right
Frc .0
BkPr 4.7 4.8 psia
Spd.0
Load -0.9 amps
3. Compare the screen status area display for Left Spindle Load with 0:
GOAL: The status screen display for left spindle load must be
equal to 0 (- 0.0 or 0.0).
Example: -0.9 _ 0
If the LEFT SPINDLE LOAD screen display is equal to 0, no
adjustment is necessary. Skip to the Right Spindle Current Offset
section (below).
If the LEFT SPINDLE LOAD screen display is not equal to 0, make
the needed adjustment by following the steps in the Adjustment
Procedure section (immediately below).
