5. Attach the Load Cell Carrier to the left spindle by hand. Install with the
flat side toward the spindle and the wire hanging down.
6. Attach the Sensotec Portable Indicator to the Load Cell Carrier:
a. Plug the connector end of the Load Cell Carrier into the Sensotec
Portable Indicator.
b. Turn the Indicator power to ON.
The battery light should be OFF.
c. The Indicator readout should display a number, for example, “0”
lbs. = the measured value.
• If the readout displays a value other than “0”, adjust the
indicator by rotating the potentiometer mounted on the face of
the indicator with a flat blade screwdriver until 0 is displayed.
d. When the reading has been set, place the Portable Indicator on an
available flat surface inside the machine adjacent to the polish table.
7. Insert the 1-inch shim block on the polish pad centered beneath the load
cell carrier.
C. INPUT TEST VALUES FOR THE LEFT FORCE PARAMETER
1. At Page 2 of the Manual Control Menu, select Left Spindle Up/Down
and choose Down to move the left spindle down.
2. Select Left Spindle Force and enter 100 lbs. as a test value.
3. Wait for the machine to adjust and the Load Cell and screen status area
reading for Left Spindle Force to settle.
4. Read and record as Display Low Force the current Left Spindle Force
value displayed in the screen status area:
a. Read the left spindle force value.
