Maintenance Model 6DS-SP Planarizer
10 - 150 Version 4.0 - February 1998
4. When the table is complete, compare each status screen force display
value with its corresponding actual force comparison test value for the
goal shown. Evaluate the table values for a pattern of error.
Example:
Compare 50 with 44.
GOAL:
The left spindle force value displayed in the screen status area
must be within +/- 5 lbs. of equal to the actual force
comparison test value (the sum of the measured force value
from the Sensotec Indicator display and the compensation
weight, calculated above).
Since 50 is not within +/- 5 lbs. of 44, our example does not meet the
goal.
a. If a constant error exists throughout the force range, go to Step 5.,
immediately below, to make corrections.
b. If the table values meet the goal, go on to When A Satisfactory
Adjustment Is Achieved (below).
Notes:
• ERRORS IN CALCULATION ARE THE MOST FREQUENT
SOURCE OF TEST FAILURE.
• Check and recheck your calculations carefully.
5. Calculate the average force error:
AVERAGE = Sum of Column (e) / Number Of Values Summed
ERROR
Note: The value for the sum of column (e) used in the example is a
value frequently encountered by the manufacturer when
performing this procedure.
Example:
AVERAGE = 35
ERROR 10
AVERAGE = 3.5
