Strasbaugh Software Calibration Procedures
Version 4.0 - February 1998 10 - 153
6. Record as Actual Right Force the value displayed on the Indicator.
Example: Actual Right Spindle Force: 254
7. Determine which spindles actual force deviates the most from the value
entered at the Manual Control Menu.
In our example, the right spindle force deviation from 250 is greater
than that of the left.
8. At the Calibration/Configuration Menu, change the value of the spindle
dead weight variable (34 = left spindle); 44 = right spindle) to
compensate for the difference between the two spindles.
In our example, offset the right spindle force by reducing the value of
variable 44, Right spindle dead weight, by 3 lbs.
9. Recheck the actual force values with the Load Cell and Indicator and
repeat changing the value of the dead weight variable until the goal has
been met.
