6. Disposal
Stressless
®
furniture are constructed to last for many years, providing that proper care is
given. Waste regulaons are under constant development. When the me comes to part with
your Stressless
®
furniture, please consult your local waste disposal plant to make sure that
the furniture is disposed in a correct and safe manner.
6.1 Composition
This product consists of the following disposable materials:
- Steel, plasc, wood, fabrics and/or leather.
- Diverse plascs, e.g., installaon material, insulaon material
- Rubber parts, e.g., seals and base
- Electrical cables, electrical lines, electrical appliances such as motors, electronic components,
electrical controls, installaon materials, if present.
- Lithium ion baery (if applicable)
Special waste such as lithium ion baeries, controllers, electronic parts should be carefully
separated from the furniture and delivered to your local waste handling system. Ekornes AS
advise you to please enquire with your local authority for proper handling of special waste.
The transport packaging used to deliver the furniture is recyclable. Ensure proper separated
disposal of materials by your local recycling service. The transport packaging is not a toy.
Please recycle immediately to reduce dangerous situaons such as suocang.
6.2 For the European Union and EEA
(Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein)
This symbol (waste bin) indicates that the electrical and electronic components of the product
are not to be disposed with your household waste, according to the WEEE Direcve (2012/19/EU),
the baery direcve (2006/66/EC) and/or naonal legislaon implemenng those Direcves.
This product should be handed over to a designated collecon point or an authorized collecon
site for recycling waste electrical and electronic equipment. Improper handling of this type of
waste could have a possible impact on the environment and human health due to potenally
hazardous substances that are generally associated with electrical and electronic equipment.
