1. Safety instructions
1.1 General health precautions
Persons with severe health issues should always consult their doctor before using furniture with
electronic equipment. People with a pacemaker must avoid close or prolonged contact with
electrical devices or devices that have strong magnec elds.
WARNING! The motorized furniture with hand-held controllers contains a magnet both in the
controller and in the armrest for convenient aachment when not in use. These magnets can cause
interference and must be kept at a safe distance from persons with a pacemaker or other implants.
WARNING! If your product includes heang, never use the heat funcon if you are suering
from CIPA (condion that prevents feeling pain or temperature) or similar condions.
1.2 General caution advice related to electronic products
This piece of furniture is operated by a motor and must be connected to a wall outlet for power
supply or charging.
• Do not use or assemble the product before reading and understanding all instrucons.
• Do not use extension cords, adapters or any substute electronic parts that are not supplied
with the furniture or provided by the manufacturer.
• Disconnect when the furniture is not in use for a longer period.
• Disconnect the electrical plug from the wall outlet before performing any maintenance,
cleaning or moving of the furniture.
• Always avoid spills and water around electrical components. Even small amounts of moisture
can increase the risk of damage to the furniture and to the people using the furniture. Never
use the product if any electrical part has been exposed to liquids.
• Never clean the product with a pressure washer or steamer. You risk potenal injury from elec-
trical shocks if the electrical equipment is installed.
• Never leave the furniture other than in “home” posion, this will reduce the risk of tripping.
• If the recliner or sofa is equipped with a baery, the footrest and backrest might automacally
fold and return to “home” posion when the baery runs out of power.
• The product may only be used by children aged 14 years and over. persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilies or those who lack experience and knowledge should
only use the product when supervised or if they have been instructed in the safe use of
the equipment and understand the resulng risks.
• Do not allow children to play with the product.
• Do not allow children to perform cleaning or maintenance tasks without supervision. People
who suer from physical limitaons may only use the product under supervision. Provide aid to
these people when they are using the product.
• Tie long hair back during assembly work and do not wear loose clothes or loose jewellery that
may get caught in the moving parts of the product.
• Never use the product or parts of the product near high-frequency surgical equipment,
debrillators, administraon of oxygen or aerosol spray.
• If your product includes heang, never use any cover between the furniture and the people
sing in the furniture when the heat is switched on.
