      matthew02Aug 14, 2025
If your Subaru Car Navigation system displays “Software update install failed”, it means the system software has been corrupted. The system will restart every 180 seconds. Turn the ignition switch to the “LOCK”/“OFF” position, open and close the driver’s side door, and ensure the system is off. Note that if any door remains open when the ignition switch is turned to the “LOCK”/“OFF” position, the system may not turn off.

    • E
      Emily PowersAug 17, 2025
If your cellular phone won't register with the Subaru Car Navigation system, it might be due to several reasons. First, ensure you're entering the correct passcode on your phone. Second, complete the registration operation by approving it on your phone. If that doesn't work, delete any existing registration information from both the system and your phone, then try registering again. Also, make sure another Bluetooth phone isn't already connected. If so, manually connect the phone you want to use. Finally, verify that Bluetooth is enabled on your cellular phone.

Automatic phonebook transfer on your Subaru Car Navigation system might fail for a couple of reasons. It could be that the profile version of your phone is not compatible with transferring phonebook data. To check compatible phones for USA customers, visit www.subaru.com. Customers outside of the USA should contact their local dealer to arrange a demonstration. Alternatively, the automatic contact transfer function on the system might be turned off. Ensure the automatic contact transfer function is turned on in the system settings.
