DEFROST TEST:

COMPONENT TESTPROCEDURE LETTER
OVEN SHOULD BE FULLY ASSEMBLED BEFORE ATTEMPTING FOLLOWING
PROCEDURE.
1. Place one cup of water in center of tray in oven cavity.
2. Close drawer, touch Defrost pad. Then select Steaks/Chops by touching
number pad 2. Touch number pad 5. (Now, weight 0.5lb is set.) Then touch
start pad.
3. Oven is in Defrost cooking condition.
4. Oven will operate as follows:
WEIGHT 1ST STAGE 2ND STAGE 3RD STAGE
LEVEL TIME LEVEL TIME LEVEL TIME
0.5 lb 60% 20 sec. 40% 20 sec. 30% 45 sec.
5. If improper operation is indicated, CPU-Drawer board is probably defective
and should be checked.
PSU-DRAWER BOARD FUSE IS OPEN:
To protect electronic circuits, this model is provided with a non-replaceable fuse
on the PSU-Drawer board.
1. Fuse check and repairs.
• Disconnect power supply cord.
• Remove outer case.
• Open drawer and block it open.
• Discharge high voltage capacitor.
• If the Fuse is blown, replace PSU-Drawer board.
• Remove the PSU-Drawer board.
• Make a visual inspection of the varistor. Check for burn damage. If varis-
tor has been damaged, replace PSU-Drawer board.
• Examine touch control transformer. On back of the PSU-Drawer board
check primary coil resistance which is approximately 151.60 ohms ± 10%.
If any abnormal condition is detected, replace PSU-Drawer board.
• Reinstall PSU-Drawer board.
• Reconnect all leads removed from components during testing.
• Re-install outer case.
• Reconnect power supply cord after outer case is installed.
• Run oven and check all functions.
