Function Description:

The Sunbeam Aluminum Fire Table is an outdoor decorative gas appliance designed to provide warmth and ambiance. It is intended for outdoor use only, in a ventilated space, and must not be used in any enclosed area. The fire table operates on either LP (liquid propane) gas or natural gas, with a conversion kit required for natural gas use. It features a burner, firebowl pan, and uses flame glass as the decorative medium. The unit includes a control knob for adjusting flame intensity and a pulse ignition system for lighting. A protective cover and lid are provided for storage and protection from the elements.

Usage Features:

  • Outdoor Use Only: This appliance is strictly for outdoor use in a well-ventilated area.
  • Ignition Procedure:
    1. Ensure control knob is in the "OFF" position.
    2. Fully open LP cylinder valve.
    3. For initial start or after cylinder change, hold control knob IN for 2 minutes to purge air.
    4. Push in gas control knob, turn counterclockwise to "LOW", and press the BLACK ignitor button until the fire table lights (a clicking sound should be heard). Keep the knob depressed and continue pressing the ignitor if needed.
    5. Once lit, release the control knob.
  • Flame Adjustment: Turn the control knob counterclockwise to "HIGH" to increase flame, and clockwise to "LOW" to decrease flame.
  • Shut-off Procedure:
    1. Depress control knob and continue to turn it clockwise to "OFF".
    2. Turn cylinder valve clockwise to "OFF" and disconnect regulator when not in use.
  • Natural Gas Conversion: Requires a CSA Certified NG Conversion kit (50,000 BTU and 3/8" NG Hose) and must be performed by a natural gas provider or service company. Instructions for conversion are provided, including disconnecting the propane hose and orifice, replacing with natural gas orifice, and connecting the natural gas hose to the gas valve and supply piping system. A leak test must be performed after conversion.
  • Lid and Protective Cover: The unit comes with a lid (J) and a protective cover (I) to prevent water accumulation in the firebowl pan and protect exterior surfaces when not in use. The lid can be stored on hooks when the fire pit is in use.
  • Gas Tank Storage: The LP cylinder is stored within the fire table's base and secured with a screw in the bottom plate.
  • Safety Warnings:
    • Do not operate if Firebowl Pan and Flame Glass are wet.
    • Never use solid fuel or charcoal.
    • Stay away from the burner when igniting.
    • Do not use a flame to check for gas leaks.
    • Keep flammable items away (72 in. from top, 48 in. around).
    • Do not sit or rest hands/feet on the unit.
    • Never leave unattended while in use.
    • Not intended for cooking.
    • Do not add water into the unit.
    • Do not operate if any part has been under water; call a qualified service technician.
    • Never store a spare propane tank on or near the unit.
    • If stored indoors, detach the propane tank and leave outdoors.
    • Children must be supervised near the unit and should never operate it.
    • Keep gas tank at least 5 feet away from unit when lit (if external tank).
    • Carbon Monoxide Hazard: Can produce carbon monoxide, which has no odor. Using in an enclosed space can kill you. Never use in a camper, tent, car, or home.

Maintenance Features:

  • Regular Inspection: Inspect all elements before each use and at least annually by a qualified service person.
  • Cleaning Exterior Surfaces: Use warm soapy water. Avoid flammable or corrosive cleaning agents. Keep the burner area dry.

  • Burner Replacement: Replace the burner if damaged.
  • Storage (Between uses and extended inactivity):
    1. Turn Control Knob OFF.
    2. Disconnect LP source.
    3. Store in an area sheltered from inclement weather (rain, sleet, hail, snow, dust, debris).
    4. Cover with lid and protective cover to prevent water accumulation in the Firebowl Pan and protect exterior surfaces.
    5. Wait until the fire table is cool before covering.
    6. Never leave LP cylinder exposed to direct sunlight or excessive heat.
  • Leak Test: Perform a leak test outdoors with a solution of 2-3 oz. of liquid dishwashing detergent and three parts water. Apply to hose-to-regulator and regulator-to-cylinder connections. If bubbles appear, there is a leak. Tighten connections and retest. If bubbles persist, the hose or cylinder valve may be defective and should be replaced. Always perform a complete leak test after loosening or removing gas connections.
