The LCP6000BK model includes additional blending capabilities with a glass jug.

Function Description

The appliance serves as a multi-functional food processor, capable of handling various ingredients from vegetables and fruits to meats and dough. It utilizes different attachments to perform specific tasks:

  • Processing Blade: Ideal for chopping raw meats, chocolate, nuts, and for general mixing. It's contoured to fit the processing bowl for efficient action.
  • Dough Blade: Specifically designed for mixing doughs, heavy cake mixes, and batters quickly and efficiently.
  • Whisk Attachment: Used for whisking egg whites and creams.
  • Slicing Blade: For uniform slicing of fruits, vegetables, hard cheeses, and deli meats.
  • Grating Blade: Suitable for grating fruits, vegetables, hard cheeses, and chocolate.
  • Shredding Blade: Designed for shredding fruits and vegetables.
  • Blender (LCP6000BK only): For making smooth purees, sauces, frothy drinks, and chopping small amounts of food like nuts and breadcrumbs. It can also be used to thicken oil-based salad dressings and rescue lumpy gravies.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Motor: Powerful 600W motor, ensuring efficient processing results.
  • Processing Bowl Capacity: 2 litres for food and 500mL for liquids.
  • Blender Jug Capacity (LCP6000BK only): 1.5 litres glass jug.
  • Speed Settings: Two continuous processing speeds and a Pulse function. The Pulse function provides short bursts of power for controlled chopping.
  • Power Supply: 230-240V AC.
  • Safety Features:
    • Automatic safety system: The processing bowl lid must be correctly positioned and locked for the appliance to operate.
    • The large food pusher must be inserted into the extra-wide chute to activate the interlock. The small pusher cannot be used by itself.
    • Non-slip feet keep the food processor secure on the benchtop during use.

Usage Features

  • Assembly:
    1. Position the processing bowl on the motor base, handle facing you, and rotate counter-clockwise to lock.
    2. Place the desired processing attachment onto the spindle.
    3. Insert the spindle into the processor bowl, ensuring it falls into place over the processor coupling.
    4. Place the processing bowl lid onto the bowl, rotate counter-clockwise towards the handle to lock.
    5. For the blender (LCP6000BK only), position the jug on the motor base, handle facing you, and rotate counter-clockwise to lock. Place ingredients into the jug, ensuring not to exceed the 1.5-litre maximum level. Position the ingredient cup into the blender lid and rotate clockwise to lock, then firmly place the lid onto the jug.
  • Operation:
    1. Plug the power cord into a 230-240V AC outlet and turn power 'ON'.
    2. Select the desired processing speed (1, 2, or PULSE) using the control dial.
    3. The food processor will only start when the large pusher is inserted into the extra-wide chute.
    4. For maximum control, load the feed tube before turning on the processor and always use the food pusher.
    5. Additional ingredients can be added during processing by pouring through the feed tube after removing the food pusher.
    6. After processing, return the control dial to the 'OFF' position.
  • Tips for Best Results:
    • Chopping: Process pieces of food that are approximately equal in size for consistent results. Avoid overloading the bowl.
    • Mincing: Pre-cut meat into approximately 2cm square cubes.
    • Vegetables: Peel and quarter or cut large vegetables into eighths.
    • Mixing: Quantities vary with mixture density. Add dry ingredients directly to the bowl before processing; liquid ingredients can be added through the feed tube while operating. Scrape down bowl sides for sauces/semi-liquid ingredients.
    • Slicing/Shredding/Grating: Cut ingredients to fit the feed tube. Pack firmly and press down evenly with the food pusher. Softer foods like cheese should be well chilled.
    • Blending (LCP6000BK only): Cut food items into 2-3cm cubes. Blend liquids first, then add dry ingredients. Ensure stones and bones are removed. Do not process hot/warm liquids; allow to cool to room temperature. Never fill above the 1.5-litre maximum level.
  • Important Safety Reminders:
    • Always use extreme care when handling sharp blades and cutting discs.
    • Unplug from power outlet before cleaning or changing accessories.
    • Do not overfill the processor.
    • Always remove the blade before emptying the processing bowl.
    • When mixing heavy loads (e.g., 0.5kg dough), do not operate for more than 38 seconds at a time.
    • Do not put hot liquids into the food processor bowl or blender jug.
    • Never use fingers to push food down the feed tube; always use the food pusher.
    • Do not operate the blender without the lid on.
    • Do not operate the blender for more than 2 minutes at a time.

Maintenance Features

  • Cleaning:
    • Motor Base: Wipe with a damp, soft sponge and mild detergent. Always unplug before cleaning. Do not immerse the motor base in water or any other liquid. Avoid alkaline cleaning agents on the exterior.

      • Thorough Cleaning: Wash the lid, ingredient cup, rubber seal, and glass jug with fixed blade assembly in warm soapy water. Do not clean any part of the blender in the dishwasher.
    • Caution: Handle metal blades and attachments with extreme care as they are very sharp.
  • Storage:
    • All food processor attachments can be conveniently stored within the processing bowl.
    • Ensure all attachments are washed and dried thoroughly before storing.
    • Place the processing blade (with protective cover) over the spindle, then into the processing bowl over the processor coupling.
    • Place the dough blade on top of the processing blade.
    • Place the whisk over the spindle, resting on top of the dough blade.
    • Place disc blades vertically down the sides of the processing bowl.
