ThisheatermustbeinstalledaccordingtothelatestversionofAS/NZS2918,relevantbuildingandlocal
governmentregulations,usingtheclearancesandrequirementstabledintheseinstructions.
Yourwoodheatermustbeinstalledbyaqualifiedpersonwhoseworkconformswithlocalcouncil
regulations,Australianstandards&manufacturersrecommendations.Failuretodosowillvoidyour
warrantyandcouldpossiblyvoidanyhomeinsurance.
Ensurethattheelectricalcableisaccessibleafterinstallation.Ensurethatthecableiskeptawayfromhot
partsoftheheater.
Ensurethattheheaterisnotinstalledinanareathatissubjectto“negativepressure”ieindoorair
pressurethatisbelowoutsideairpressure,egduetoinstallingtheheaterinanareawithoutadequate
externalventilation.Negativepressurewillresultinflueexhaustbeingsuckedbackintotheroom,
which,ifleftuncorrected,canresultinsuffocation.
14BUSINGYOURHEATERSAFELY
Ensureyouarecompletelyfamiliarwiththeusagesectionoftheseinstructionsbeforeoperatingthe
heater.
Alwaysopentheaircontrolbeforeopeningtheheaterdoor,topreventasuddenrushofairintothe
firebox.
Werecommendusingfireretardantgloveswhenstackingwoodintothefireboxtopreventburns.
Whenstackingwoodintothefirebox,placethelogscarefully.Preventlogsfromrollingforwardby
placingthemfronttoback.Donotthrowlogsinasthismaycauseemberstoflyoutofthefirebox.
Whenremovingashesfromthefirebox,useametalorothernoncombustiblereceptacle.Evenseemingly
coolashescancontainsmall,glowinghotembers.
Donotoverloadoroverfiretheheater,asthismaycausesafetemperaturestobeexceededandresultin
afirehazard.
