      If the thread keeps breaking on your SunStar Sewing Machine, consider the following: The threading may be incorrect, the needle could be bent or inserted incorrectly, the upper thread tension might be too tight, or the lower thread tension might be too loose. Also, the stroke could be too large, or there might be a scratch on the hook edge, the needle hole of the feed dog, or the needle plate. To resolve this, thread the needle correctly, change the needle if bent, insert the needle correctly, reduce the upper thread tension, reduce the lower thread tension, adjust the stroke level, and remove any scratches from the hook edge, feed dog, or needle plate.
