Conguring the Avago MegaRAID Setting
This chapter provides instructions on how to congure MegaRAID settings for the
Avago 3108 SAS controller. If you do not wish to congure MegaRAID settings,
skip this section and go directly to OS installation.
4-1 RAID Minimum Drive Requirements
The AOC-S3108L-H8iR add-on card supports up to 240 HDD with RAID 0, 1, 5,
6, 10, 50, and 60. Use the table below to determine the minimum number of hard
drives needed to set up a RAID environment.

RAID 0 1
RAID 1 2
RAID 5 3
RAID 6 3
RAID 10 4 (Two RAID 1 arrays)
RAID 50 6 (Two RAID 5 arrays)
