Chapter 3: Maintenance and Component Installation
Power Supply: 6019P-WT
supply module has an auto-switching capability, which enables them to automatically sense
and operate with a 100V - 240V input voltage.
Power Supply Failure
If the power supply fails, the system will shut down and you will need to replace the unit.
Replacement units can be ordered directly from Supermicro (see contact information in the
Preface)..
Removing the Power Supply
Begin by removing power from the system as described in Section 3.1.
1. First unplug the power cord from the power supply module.
2. To remove the failed power module, push the release tab (on the back of the power
supply) to the side and then pull the module straight out.
3. The power supply wiring was designed to detach automatically when the module is
pulled from the chassis.
Installing a New Power Supply
1. Replace the failed power module with another power supply module (p/n PWS-605P-
1H).
2. Simply push the new power supply module into the power bay until you hear a click.
3. Finish by plugging the AC power cord back into the new power module and reboot the
system.
Power Supply: 6019P-WTR
an auto-switching capability, which enables them to automatically sense and operate with a
100V - 240V input voltage.
Power Supply Failure
If either of the two power supply modules fail, the other module will take the full load and
allow the system to continue operation without interruption. The Universal Information LED on
the control panel will blink slowly and remain so until the failed module has been replaced.
Replacement modules can be ordered directly from Supermicro (see contact information in
the Preface). The power supply modules have a hot-swap capability, meaning you can replace
the failed module without powering down the system.
