M.2 Slot
The X11SCM-LN8F/-F motherboard has two M.2 slots, while X11SCL-LN4F has one. M.2
was formerly known as Next Generation Form Factor (NGFF) and serves to replace mini
PCI-E. M.2 allows for a variety of card sizes, increased functionality, and spatial efciency.
The hybrid M.2-H_2 slot supports PCI-E 3.0 x4 SSD cards in a 2280/22110 form factor, or
SATA 3.0. However, the X11SCL-LN4F only supports PCI-E 3.0 x4 on this slot. The M.2-P_1
slot, available only on the X11SCM-LN8F/-F, supports PCI-E 3.0 x4.
