Conguration Address Source
This feature allows you to select the source of the IP address for this computer. If Static
is selected, you will need to know the IP address of this computer and enter it to the
system manually in the eld. If DHCP is selected, the BIOS will search for a Dynamic Host
Conguration Protocol (DHCP) server in the network that is attached to and request the
next available IP address for this computer. The options are Static Conguration, DHCPv6
Stateless, and DHCPv6 Stateful.
*If the Conguration Address Source is set to Static Conguration, the following
features will be displayed:
• Station IPv6 Address
• Prex Length
• Gateway IP
• Preferred DNS server IP
• Alternative DNS server IP
*If the Conguration Address Source is set to DHCPv6 Stateless, the following
features will become available for conguration:
• Advanced Settings
• Preferred DNS server IP
• Alternative DNS server IP
