6. Remove the four bolts securing the recoil
starter assembly in place.
7. Lift the recoil starter assembly and roll the
port side. Reconnect the evaporation hose
3 to the vapor separator.
8. Secure the recoil starter assembly with the
suitable rope as shown.
9. Disconnect the breather hose 2 from
silencer case, and then insert the hose into
the silencer case as shown.
NOTE:
Make sure that the breather hose and other
cables do not touch to the flywheel and the tim-
ing belt.
10. Tie a knot in one end of the emergency
starter rope located in the tool kit. Tie the
other end around the screw-driver handle in
the tool kit.
11. Hook the knotted end of the rope in the pul-
ley notch and wind the rope around the pul-
ley in a clockwise direction.
12. Put the emergency stop switch lock plate in
place.
13. Remote control model:
Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position.
14. After following steps of the normal starting
procedure, pull the emergency starter rope
sharply to start the engine.
