5. Push down the cap, then turn the
key to the left and remove it.
The key cannot be removed if the
cap is not locked.
WARNING
Gasoline is very flammable and may
cause fires if handled incorrectly.
• When refilling with gasoline, stop the
engine and do not bring flame into
proximity.
• Be sure to refill outdoors.
• Before opening the fuel tank cap,
touch a metal section of the motorcy-
cle body or gasoline pump to elimi-
nate static electricity from your body.
If you are statically charged the static
may discharge with a spark, causing
the gasoline to catch fire.
• Refill with gasoline yourself, away
from other people.
• After refilling, close the fuel tank cap
firmly until it makes a clicking sound.
• Wipe away any spilled gasoline with
a cloth.
