Improper maintenance or failure to
perform recommended maintenance
can lead to a crash.
Keep your motorcycle in good condi-
tion. Ask your Suzuki dealer or a
qualified mechanic to perform the
maintenance items marked with an
asterisk (*). You may perform the
unmarked maintenance items by
referring to the instructions in this
section, if you have mechanical
experience. If you are not sure how
to do any of the jobs, ask your
Suzuki dealer to do the maintenance.
WARNING
Inspection with the engine running is
dangerous, as your hands or cloth-
ing may become caught in moving
engine parts, resulting in serious
injury.
Turn the engine off when inspecting
anything other than the lights,
engine stop switch, and throttle.
