Failure to inspect your motorcycle
before riding and to properly main-
tain your motorcycle increases the
chances of a crash or equipment
damage.
Always inspect your motorcycle each
time you use it to make sure it is in
safe operating condition. Refer to the
INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE
section in this owner’s manual.
WARNING
Checking maintenance items when the
engine is running can be hazardous.
You could be severely injured if your
hands or clothing get caught in moving
engine parts.
Shut the engine off when performing
maintenance checks, except when
checking the lights, engine stop
switch, and throttle.
